PRIZE PUZZLE FOR JUNE 2006
SUPER KNIGHT TRAVERSE
A knight move in chess is a jump of two squares in one
direction and one square in a direction at right angles. But
this puzzle involves a Super Knight that jumps over three squares
in one direction and two at right angles. The Super Knight on
square b1, for example, can jump to either square d4 or e3.
In this puzzle you are asked to find a sequence of seven jumps for
the Super Knight marked 'S' on square b1 to get to the square marked
*
at g1. There are many ways this can be done but one route will be
sufficient. Just list the squares in sequence.
