PRIZE PUZZLE FOR APRIL 2004ELEVEN SEPARATED AREAS
The puzzle this month is to select eleven areas from the above
diagram such that no two areas share a common boundary. If you
can do this, send me, David Broughton, an e-mail by clicking
on this symbol:
and include your diagram as an attachment. Please make sure it
is compressed using GIF format. If you prefer, you can send me a
copy in the post. My address is on page 3.
You can download a copy of the diagram to work on by right clicking the graphic image and selecting "Safe Picture As.." from the menu. The best way to work with it is to use the Paint program using the "flood fill" tool with a foreground colour that is not black. The closing date is 5th May 2004. |
