David Broughton |
David Broughton worked for the BBC as an Electronics Design Engineer and later as a Computer Applications Engineer. After 22 years of service he ventured into the self-employed world of contract programmer, mainly working with microprocessors embedded in specialised equipment for the broadcasting industry. He has also programmed computers to play chess and has won awards in this area. His main interests are mathematical puzzles and computer programming. He hates Microsoft Windows which, it seems to him, tries to thwart his control of the computer. He uses variants of DOS and his own programs to maintain control but fears he is losing the battle.
