PRIZE PUZZLE FOR FEBRUARY 2004
BULLS EYE
Bill and Ben play darts and they have invented a new game called
"Bulls Eye". Each player takes it in turn to throw one dart.
The first person to get a bulls eye is the winner.
In this game, the person who goes first has the advantage. Ben
is better than Bill so Bill always goes first to even out the
chances. On average, Bill can get a bulls eye once in every ten
throws. What is Ben's rate of scoring a bulls eye to make the
odds even for either player winning the game?
